Rodin have released five new shades of their cult Luxury Lipstick- Loving Lucy, a deep jewel-toned red, Berry Baci, a muted berry violet, Pinky Winky, a berry stained fuschia, Heavenly Hopp, a warm nude, and Arancia Adore, a bright pink-coral. Oil based and packed with hydrating Vitamins C and E, these lippies feel comfortable beyond belief, last for several hours and have a satin finish on the lips.
Rodin Luxury Lipsticks, $55, available via Mecca Cosmetica from March 27.
Go-To Skincare have taken their first foray into masking, launching the Transformazing Sheet Mask this week. Go-To founder Zoe Foster Blake is a former beauty editor, so she’s tried approximately every single beauty product in the world, worked out what works and what sucks, then used all her beauty smarts to create this brand. I’ve not come across a Go-To product I don’t love and I imagine that comes down to Zoe’s expertise, and Transformazing is no exception. It’s instantly brightening, is packed with niacinamide plus Vitamins C and E, it actually fits my head properly and it smells like a legitimate serum rather than a silly fluffy mask. This will make complete sense once you smell it for yourself.
Go-To Transformazing Sheet Masks, $45 for a box of six masks.
bareMinerals BarePro Full Coverage Concealer lands in Australia this week, boasting 16 hour wear, a soft-matte finish on the skin and seriously high pigmentation. The waterproof, crease-proof formula is available in 15 shades and performs as well under the eyes as it does on blemishes.
bareMinerals BarePro Full Coverage Concealer, available via Mecca Cosmetica from March 27.
Also from bareMinerals comes two new additions to the preexisting Gen Nude collection in the form of Patent Lip Lacquers and Powder Blushes. The blushes come in enough nude tones to suit every complexion with a subtle shimmer to the formula and buildable colour, while the nude lip lacquers are creamy, long-wearing and dry down to a laquer-like finish.
bareMinerals Gen Nude Powder Blush, $35, Mecca Cosmetica.
bareMinerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer, $27, Mecca Cosmetica.
Stila have released a handful of new shades of their best-selling Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows, one of which is named Wanderlust- a sheer gold and pink sparkle. The Glitter & Glow shadows are in a league of their own- the glitter doesn’t fall out, which is almost unheard of as far as glitters go, the colour builds well without creasing and lasts for 10 hours without creasing or smudging.
Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow, $35, Mecca Cosmetica.
The Molten Gems collection of Kevyn Aucoin Molten Lip Colours also arrived down under this week in six crystal-inspired shades- Pink Crystal, Poppy Topaz, Blue Amethyst, Fire Amber, Violet Quartz and Magenta Sapphire. The shimmer pigments are incredibly fine and create a three-dimensional, iridescent effect on the lips, free from the sticky feeling that comes hand in hand with traditional glossy lip colours.
Kevyn Aucoin The Molten Lip Colour, $44, Mecca Cosmetica.
A long term favourite has been given a makeover- Frank Body‘s Lip Scrub is now available in a Cherry Bomb alternative to their traditional coffee scrub, and it smells more like a Redskin than a Redskin itself. The formula is just as good as the OG lip scrub, gently exfoliating the lips while leaving behind a slightly waxy residue that doubles as a hydrating primer for any lip colour.
Frank Body Cherry Bomb Lip Scrub, $14.95, Frank Body.
ILIA‘s Satin Cream Lip Crayons are another overseas import to land on our shores this week in six shades. The colour is rich and buildable, the crayon delivery system is foolproof to apply and the formula is so comfortable you’ll forget you’re wearing a lip colour at all.
ILIA Satin Cream Lip Crayons, available via Mecca Cosmetica from March 27.
Homegrown beauty brand Minenssey launched its debut product this week in the form of a face mask wardrobe with all bases covered. Each mask is made from Australian clay and while the four formulas have individual benefits (Hydration, Rejuvenation, Deep Cleansing and Brightening), the detoxification, gentle exfoliation and pH balancing properties are equally good across the board.
Minenssey Clay Masks, $79 for 10 pre-poured masks.
